Japan Mini Red Apple | 日本ミニりんご

I saw a very cute mini red apple when I am shopping in OIOI shopping complex last weekend. I was looking for various kind of fruits at that time and unexpectedly I saw those mini apples. I was so excited and thinking to buy it but at the end I walked back with empty hands as we were too hungry and rushing for dinner. I was regretted for not buying the mini apples and keep thinking on the cute apple for few days.

Half Day Trip to Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera), Penang

This is the first time we went to Penang Hill after visited there since years ago. In my mind, Bukit Bendera is a cool place, where you can go away from super hot Penang island. Also, being prepared that there is "nothing" at the top hill. With this mindset, I prepared a jacket, pizza and some light foods for the trip. We went in early morning on last Sunday morning, arrived there at about 8.15am. After park our car at their carpark (RM3 per entry), we went to buy ticket. Ticket charge for adult is RM8 per person, if you show your Malaysia identity card to them (child is RM4). By the time we buy the ticket, there is no body in the queue, so we thought the visitor must be very few. Walk way from carpark to ticket counter After that, we went to ride on the train, the train straight arrived at the top hill. Thinking back the old train, visitors need to walk out to change train on half way. The train speed is faster compare to old train too. Scene taken at top hill Scene taken at top hill When we arrived at top hill, we planned to have breakfast at David Brown's restaurant. But they do not get ready on set meal yet, with only cakes and light foods available. The waitress told us there is a food court, so we had our breakfast there. Surprisingly, food court was quite crowded, many cyclist had their breakfast there. The food is at average price, which we think are quite reasonable at tourism place. We ordered a plate of Char Koay Teow (RM5) and a plate of Mee Kung Fu (RM6). Food taste is quite good. A cup of coffee (RM2) and Fresh Cocoa juice (RM6). Other foods are Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Fried Rice, Koay Tiao Soup, Bakery, Satay and many more. For drink, they have different kind of fresh juice, Ice Kacang, Fruit Ice and etc. Char koay tiao Kung fu mee Kung fu mee Cocoa juice and coffee The food court was built with wooden style, which give you a relaxing and comfort environment. After breakfast, we walked around the place, and return home before 12pm. There is nothing much at the top hill but compare with N years ago, many things are actually get improved such as food court, cleanliness of the place, train, toilet and of course, number of visitors have increase greatly. At the end, we took back home our pizza. I also do not wear on my jacket at all as the weather is not cold, just a little cooling. We ride on "roller coaster" from top hill to bottom hill and end our half day trip. (There is a group of people shouting like riding on roller coaster on our way back, the train speed is quite fast and imagine you are standing at the front part of the train, "roll" down at fast speed.) The visitors were geting more and more crowded by the time we returned home. So, go early to avoid long queue!

Apom | Wai Sek Kai 喂食街| Chai Leng Park, Perai

If you like to eat something sweet after dinner, this Ah Pom that located at Lebuh Kurau 5 (Wai Sek Kai喂食街), Chai Leng Park is a good choice for them. The stall that selling Ah Pom is owned by a Chinese auntie; she operated this business for more than 20 years. For those who stay surrounding Chai Leng Park should be know about this Ah Pom. Previously, she was selling the Ah Pom at Chai Leng Park market during morning and at Wai Sek Kai (Wai Sek Kai喂食街) at night. Since I was kid (5~6years old), I like it very much already. May be you will ask me "What's so special?", because you can find Ah Pom/Apom/Apong anyway. I can tell you here, the taste is totally different compared to other Indian style Ah Pom/Apom/Apong.
