Goma Dango ごまだんご | Japan Kinkakuji

Is anyone like the Cha Dango that I shared on previous post? Now, I would like to introduced another type of dango. As I mentioned before, there are varities of dangos that can be found in Japan, one is the Cha Dango which is made with green tea. The second type of dango that I am going to share now is black and white version of dango. What is the black and white ball ball stick shown in the picture? Well, the white balls are the dangos which are plain dangos while the blacky is kuro goma (black sesame). It doesn's look tempting to me at all, but since there was a free tasting sample, why should I miss the chance ?

Sukiyaki 鋤焼 | Dinner At Japanese Sensei House

When I was working in Japan, I attended Japanese class in order to improve my Japanese language. I have a Japanese teacher who taught me the Japanese language for about a year when I stayed there. Before the training end, I was invited to her house for dinner. I feel glad to have the opportunity to visit her house.

Cold Egg Soba 冷たい卵そば | Japan

Soba is a kind of brown noodles made from buckwheat flour. Cold egg soba is noodles in cold sauce with wasabi, scallions and raw egg. I have never wanted to try the cold soba here as the egg serves in the cold soba is totally raw. I am afraid of the egg smell if it is eaten raw and dare not challenge myself to eat raw egg except if the raw egg is use to make tiramisu. Somehow, on past few weeks, we stepped into an old soba and udon shop. Since Camus wanted to try something special in Japan, Japan local food, hence we ordered cold egg soba. Unsure about how to order cold egg soba in Japanese, after talking and describing what we wanted to the Taukeh Soh, finally we got what we want.

I saw a very cute mini red apple when I am shopping in OIOI shopping complex last weekend. I was looking for various kind of fruits at that time and unexpectedly I saw those mini apples. I was so excited and thinking to buy it but at the end I walked back with empty hands as we were too hungry and rushing for dinner.

I was regretted for not buying the mini apples and keep thinking on the cute apple for few days. Frown Yesterday after work, on the way back home, we stopped by a shop to buy fruit. Out of expectation, we saw the cute apple again. Without further consideration, we walked to the counter with a pack of mini apple. Yee hee.. A pack of 14 apples cost 298yen, which is about RM11.

MooncakeFestSet
It has been a while since our last update in MnYfoodtalk, it is mainly due to our webpage was corrupted recently (thanks to the previous lousy web hosting company). All the posts were gone and we had to re-build and re-publish all the posts as we do not have a backup for our posts. During the downtime of our webpage, the poor service from the previous web hosting company was really dissapointed us and make us mad. Hence we had decided to change to new hosting company as they provide a better service to us. The two hosting companies did make a big different in providing services to their customers. For instance, the way they reply our requests did make a big different, you can't imagine how a service company can reply an email to their customers in a rude way and blame that the fault is from customers themselves. In fact we knew that was the improper server configuration that brought us all the nightmare and here we have no intention to blame any party, but the rude and irresponsible way of servicing customer from the previous hosting company had changed our mind in continuing to host under their company. So far, we are pretty happy with current web hosting company. One lesson learnt here, BACKUP YOUR BLOG OFTENLY! Tongue out

Nakao_8Are you looking for something cheap in Japan? Of course, the “something” here means FOOD. Well, I think most of the people know that dining in Japan is not cheap, but if you are good in dig hole (korek lubang), you can actually get a cheap meal too. One of the “hole” I found is to walk around “super market” (I used to call those convenient market/mini market/super market hampalang (all) as super market), most of the “super market” selling bento 弁当 (lunch box). When come to certain time, few hours before the food is expired, they will have discount on the bento. Grab one!
