Have you ever eaten rabbit meat? ...deer meat...and camel meat? When Camus told me rabbit meat is delicious, my reaction: "yarrrkk, how can we eat rabbit meat?"
One day, when I taken lunch at Kompleks Bukit Gedung, Bayan Lepas, I found a burger store that sells weird weird types of burger, such as lamb and rabbit. Beef burger and chicken burger are very common to me, but lamb and rabbit are new to me. I informed Camus and brought him there for dinner.
When we put order, we realised they actually sell prawn burger, fish burger and camel burger (burger unta) too. I wanted to try camel burger but Camus said the meat is harder, so we stick to rabbit burger special.
You can see how big the burger is, almost size of adult's palm. I actually feel disgusting before my first bite on rabbit meat, feel like want to vomit. I finally get up the nerve and eat it. Ermmmmmmm, DELICIOOUUSsss... it's YUMMY. It's so soft and so special. I can hardly describe the taste but it really taste good.

This burger special cost RM5.50, it's big and generous with vegetable and sauce. The sauces are mayonnaise, chilli sauce, bbq sauce... It came with egg and cheese too.
We both like it so much, and I am thinking to try the lamb burger next time.

You may refer here for exact location. This foodcourt was just newly re-opened on last year September after renovation. Compare to last time, it is now a very clean and comfort place for dining, even in the afternoon. This is really thanks to Penang State government that took over management power from previous party since 2008. They have many stores that sell nasi campur, nasi ayam, tomyam, sup tulang, satay, indian rice, burung puyuh goreng and many more.

The Ridge - Teja By The Sea located at Batu Kawan, is a very nice place to enjoy food. We had our dinner there on last weekend with family. By the time we arrived there was already 7.30pm, too bad we missed the sunset view.
We ordered tomyam ayam with 2 bowl of rice, 2 lamb chops, 1 fish and chip and 1 roasted chicken. For drink, we have one big jar of fresh orange juice. Mee udang is recommended by waitress but it was closed after 7pm.
One big claypot of tomyam ayam, RM12. I like the sourness and little sweetness of the tomyam taste, not too spicy. I found the serving is quite proffesional, take note of how they served the white rice. This claypot tomyam is enough for 4-5 person according to waitress.

This is the first time we went to Penang Hill after visited there since years ago. In my mind, Bukit Bendera is a cool place, where you can go away from super hot Penang island. Also, being prepared that there is "nothing" at the top hill. With this mindset, I prepared a jacket, pizza and some light foods for the trip.
We went in early morning on last Sunday morning, arrived there at about 8.15am. After park our car at their carpark (RM3 per entry), we went to buy ticket. Ticket charge for adult is RM8 per person, if you show your Malaysia identity card to them (child is RM4). By the time we buy the ticket, there is no body in the queue, so we thought the visitor must be very few.

June of year 2011 is the best time to indulge durians, the King of Fruits. Compare to past few years, this year durian's harvest is better and hence the price is predicted to drop week after week. (Hope my prediction is correct!)
Last weekend we had an outing visiting durian farm at Genting, Balik Pulau, Penang. It is the farm of my dad's friend. On our way to the farm, I saw many stores selling durians at roadside. The durian's aromatic scent awakened my groggy head.

Yong Tau Foo (stuffed bean curd) is a Hakka dish famous in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Tau Foo is stuffed with fish (or meat or pork) paste, hence the name "Yong Tau Foo". Since then, variety of vegetables or fried fritters is stuffed with the fish paste, but all are categories as "Yong Tau Foo".
Two weeks ago, we travelled to KL for food hunting and shopping. Among the food we hunted in KL, Yong Tau Foo suits our taste the most! This was the first meal we hunted for when we first arrived in KL.

I found this Char Koay Kak (炒粿角) at Bringchang Pasar Malam (night market), Cameron Highland. It is a typical Char Koay Kak, which is frying together with bean sprouts (豆芽), chives (韭菜) and egg.
