Fresh Fruit Cheese Cake

For about 1 year, I have no chance to bake a fresh cream cake. Now, I am back to my little kitchen to bake something. Yeh! First fresh cream cake I baked this year for my lovely niece four years old birthday celebration, and I baked a fruit cheese cake for her.

Goma Dango ごまだんご | Japan Kinkakuji

Is anyone like the Cha Dango that I shared on previous post? Now, I would like to introduced another type of dango. As I mentioned before, there are varities of dangos that can be found in Japan, one is the Cha Dango which is made with green tea. The second type of dango that I am going to share now is black and white version of dango. What is the black and white ball ball stick shown in the picture? Well, the white balls are the dangos which are plain dangos while the blacky is kuro goma (black sesame). It doesn's look tempting to me at all, but since there was a free tasting sample, why should I miss the chance ?

Manneken Belgium Waffle | Japan

I love to eat waffle especially when the waffle just comes out hot from waffle maker and waffle with peanut butter is always my first choice. I have even tried to make my own waffle with my sister in law's waffle maker which bought from Cosway. My homemade waffle didn't turn out as good as those sell outside. To me, good waffle should be crunchy outside and soft inside. Of course the taste should be delicious too. Recently, I get to know about Belgium Waffle after my first try in Osaka Railway Station, Japan. The strong fragrance from the waffle store caught our attention. We bought a piece of plain waffle which costs 126 yen (about RM4.50). The Belgium waffle was very crunchy and tasted heavenly!

Peach Cheesecake | Frozen Cheesecake

Thank God that things happening around is making my life more meaningful. The events that Japanese organize, places that I can visit during weekend and most important is the FOOD that I can eat here.

Chadango_2Dango is a Japanese dumpling made from mochiko, rice flour. There are many varieties of dango in Japan and normally three to four dango are often served on a skewer. The texture of the dango is very similar to chinese glutinous flour ball (tang yuan), especially the plain dango, not only the texture, the taste is almost close to tang yuan.

On this post, I would like to share on the Cha Dango from Kyoto, Japan 京の茶だんご. It is a green tea flavour dango where only sells in Kyoto area. I have never see this brand of dango in Tokyo.

8 sticks of Cha Dango in a pack

I bought a pack of cha dango when I visited to Kyoto, it came with 8 sticks in a pack which cost 630yen (about RM24). It was nicely wrap and I think the price is expensive due to the beautiful packing. This is not the first time I ate Cha Dango, the same brand of Cha Dango given by Japanese Colleague from Kyoto was really impressed me. The "Q-ness" texture and green tea taste of the dango was fantastic. I like it!
