Fresh Fruit Cheese Cake
For about 1 year, I have no chance to bake a fresh cream cake. Now, I am back to my little kitchen to bake something. Yeh! First fresh cream cake I baked this year for my lovely niece four years old birthday celebration, and I baked a fruit cheese cake for her.

Dinner at いろはかるた Izakaya 居酒屋| Kyoto Japan
Izakaya居酒屋is a place where Japanese gather together for eating, drinking, smoking and talking. To be more precise, it is a place for them to drink, drink, drink and drink non-stop. Since it is a place for drinking, many Izakaya provide drinking buffer (飲み放題 "nomihoudai") package. If you are to order a set package, many of them come with appetizer, main dishes, salad, dessert and some side dishes. The drinks are buffet type and you can choose from soft drink, wine, cocktail, sake and others. Most of them are alcohol. I have visited to many of the Izakaya during the stay in Japan. Most of the times were attended farewell or welcoming party with Japanese colleague. I have no chance to take good photo during dining with them.

"Firstly, put some oil, when the oil is hot, put in chopped garlic, follow by prawn or meat, after the meat is about to cook, put in bihun, then put......". Standing in the kitchen and watching at mom frying bihun seems to be easy, step by step instructions were taught by this lovely mom to her daughter who does not know how to cook well. Her daughter forgot what her mom taught after walk out from the kitchen. And yes, the "daughter" here refers to me! But I am very thankful to have a great mom who can cook very delicious meals for her husband and children. Questions of "What to eat later? Where to eat?..." do not come across me as I have a great mom who will prepare lunch and dinner for us every day. However, this is no longer applicable to me during the time I stay alone at outstation. I have to cook and eat on my own.| Apom | Wai Sek Kai 喂食街| Chai Leng Park, Perai |

Ah Pom with egg
Ah Pom without egg There are 2 types of Ah Pom, with egg or without egg. Both taste like "Kuih Kapik + traditional Indian style Ah Pom". With egg, it will be softer and less sweetness. Without egg, it will be more crispy and sweeter. To me, I like both of them.
I did introduce this Ah Pom to some of my friends previously. Normally, I bought 20 pieces for 2 pax and my friends asked me "Are you crazy? Why you buy so many piece?". But after taken the first piece, they realized this was not a normal Ah Pom. Until the final piece, my friends said "Huh! No more?"
It just cost you RM0.20/pcs. I normally will buy at least 20 pieces. My maximum record was 60 pieces in single order. Unfortunately, someone break my record. I saw someone bought 80pieces before. Around 8pm every night, you will see some customers are queuing up to there. Please ask the estimate time before you place order, because sometime customers need to wait for more than an hour.

If you like to eat something sweet after dinner, this Ah Pom that located at Lebuh Kurau 5 (Wai Sek Kai喂食街), Chai Leng Park is a good choice for them. The stall that selling Ah Pom is owned by a Chinese auntie; she operated this business for more than 20 years. For those who stay surrounding Chai Leng Park should be know about this Ah Pom. Previously, she was selling the Ah Pom at Chai Leng Park market during morning and at Wai Sek Kai (Wai Sek Kai喂食街) at night. Since I was kid (5~6years old), I like it very much already. May be you will ask me "What's so special?", because you can find Ah Pom/Apom/Apong anyway. I can tell you here, the taste is totally different compared to other Indian style Ah Pom/Apom/Apong.
