IMG_20130707_205950After 3 years, I am now back to Japan again. This time will stay here for only 3 weeks, it is good for me to enjoy the food here. I miss the food in Japan, from sandwich to bread to cake to dessert to ramen to bento to coffee to izakaya food to sashimi to ... many more. Opsss...this post is not about Japanese food yet. Let's back to my last dinner before I came to Japan. Before depart to Japan, my dad treat me a dinner at Ke Ren Lai Restaurant, near Gurney drive. We had our dinner there with recommendation from dad. He said food here is good, he told me they have roasted duck that very delicious and "suan pan zi", a hakka dish. So we give it a try.

When we arrived there, we ordered 4 dishes, non of them are duck or suan pan zi. We have only 4 persons at that time, and the minimum order for roasted duck is half duck. We can't finish it hence at the end change our mind to order something else.

Menu

Peanut and white carrot pickles at RM2 each.

Baked pork ribs with champagne and black pepper RM6 per piece taste superb. A little crunchy after baked but juicy inside the meat, little sweet give a perfect taste to this dish.

Mixed vegetable with sambal dried prawn, RM15. They are generous with dried prawn and this dish taste really delicious.

White tomyam with seafood, RM25. My super favourite, if you like sour and spicy, this is for sure your choice of food too.

Hakka home made yong tau fu, RM13. Tau fu wrap with mince meat, is my dad's favourite.

Overall, we enjoyed the food there, but the price is restaurant's price which is little expensive.
